Coaches Corner - Officer Beesley, Coach meeting, Summer Updates

22 Jun 2021 by Troy D Pfitzer

Hello RVMTB,
It is with a heavy heart I recognize Officer Beesley this morning. By now you have heard of the shooting in Arvada and that the officer was Officer Beesley. If you were unaware, Beesley was the resource officer for Oberon Middle School. He also promoted bikes with kids and several of our riders were part of his rides held at the school. I am sure those riders are hurting this morning. I met Beesley just a few times but you could tell he was an individual who was all in for helping kids find the positive in life. I know he is in our thoughts.

A second call out to anyone interested in coaching or riding with the kids this fall. Please plan on attending the meeting on Monday June 28th at 6pm. I believe I have texted many of you but if you need an address, please text Pfitzer at 720-217-7378. We will discuss the season, rides, training, first aid, etc.

Finally, once we complete our coaches meeting look for rides to begin showing up on TeamApp under events. Keep those notifications on. The rides will be all inclusive at first and more of the skills variety rather than fitness. Get out on those bikes. Have adventures. Ride with friends and family and enjoy the summer you all. Soon we will be in a schedules season so enjoy the free for all, ride wherever and whenever you choose, schedule of summer.
